WELCOME TO OUR WEBSITE!
The club aims to promote interest in model engineering in Southport and the local area. This includes building and running model locomotives, traction engines, stationary engines and hot air engines.
We have a clubroom and two tracks of 3.5 and 5 inch gauge.
We also have an extensive 45mm Gauge 1 line and a 32mm garden railway.
We are based in Victoria Park, Southport at the Liverpool end of Rotten Row, right next to the boating pond.
As well as railways in several gauges, we have extensive well-kept grounds, which add to the ambience of the site.
We have talks and other activities on Wednesday nights, and running sessions on Sundays.
NEWS FOR 2017!
We are pleased to announce that we will be hosting the International Model Locomotive Efficiency Competition (IMLEC) this year.
The dates are 7th, 8th and 9th July.
Details will be published shortly in Model Engineer magazine and applications for entries will be available from then.
It's a great competition and has a good following. If you’re interested in attending or need any information about directions, caravan sites, etc. please get in touch.
